A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a Los Angeles car accident the night of April 30, 2010, CBS News reports. The injury crash occurred at the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Chandler boulevards in North Hollywood. Los Angeles police officials say that the driver of a blue SUV cut off a Toyota Camry, which then swerved and hit the pedestrian. The SUV did not stop and kept going. Officials are calling this an instance of “non-contact hit-and-run.” The pedestrian sustained a broken arm and broken leg. The male driver of the SUV apparently caused the crash, but failed to stop. If apprehended he is expected to be charged with hit-and-run.
